Discuss your goals with Dr Sheyda. If you choose to explore treatment, the detailed assessment may include scans, photos or X-rays. We explain proposed movements, limitations, fees and alternatives before you commit.
Wear and review
Wear each set as directed and attend planned progress reviews. Remove aligners for eating, drinking anything other than water and cleaning. Your dentist checks how the teeth are tracking and explains any adjustments.
Retain and maintain
After active treatment, retainers are normally needed to help maintain tooth position. Ask about the recommended retention schedule, maintenance, replacements and follow-up costs before starting.

Will wearing aligners be uncomfortable?
You may feel temporary pressure or discomfort when starting aligners or changing sets. Ask your dentist what to expect and contact the practice if discomfort persists or you are concerned.
What are Invisalign clear aligners?
Invisalign uses a series of custom-made removable clear aligners to move teeth gradually. Your dentist plans the sequence and reviews progress; it is not simply a cosmetic cover over the teeth.
How long will Invisalign take?
Treatment time depends on the movements required, how your teeth respond and consistent wear. Your dentist explains a likely timeline after assessment rather than promising the same duration to everyone.
Will I need attachments or space between teeth?
Small tooth-coloured attachments may help aligners grip. Some plans involve removing a small amount of enamel between selected teeth to create space. Your dentist explains whether either is proposed and what it means before treatment.
Can I eat and drink normally?
Remove aligners to eat and to drink anything other than water. Clean your teeth and aligners as instructed before putting them back in. Plan meals and snacks around the recommended daily wear time.
Do I still need retainers afterwards?
Normally, yes. Teeth can move after orthodontic treatment. Retainers and ongoing reviews help maintain the result; ask about the schedule, care and replacement costs in your individual plan.
What if I cannot wear aligners consistently?
Discuss your routine before starting. Removable aligners rely on consistent wear. Your dentist can explain alternative approaches, including whether fixed braces or an orthodontic opinion would be more appropriate.
What is included in the treatment fee?
The $6,000–$8,000 treatment guide covers both arches and includes scans and X-rays. It does not mean every possible extra is included. Request an itemised quote explaining reviews, any refinements, retainers and other dental care before deciding.
